Super Daddy!

Ben LOVES his daddy! We had the best day. This was our first "day off" from adoption related work. Ben woke up at about 5am and we started playing. We went to breakfast at the hotel and found some of our friends who are in our group. We went together to the open air market and shopped. WOW - now that's some shopping. Grammy - you would be impressed. Ben is a super shopper. He fell asleep shortly after we got there and just hung out in his hip hammock. Then we went back to our room for more play time. This is when Ben found his legs. We knew he could walk and had a few times for us but not much. In fact, he had not wanted us to put him down until this point. He started walking back and forth between us about 10 times and then....he was off. He explored our entire room - which is actually 3 rooms. We were moved today, for reasons we did not understand. But, it is fine and our room is even nicer. Plus, Ben has lots more room to run around. It is so wonderful to see him explore everything, especially his own abilities. He is amazingly strong and can throw about five feet. He loves the cars Riley sent and the colored rings. He also loves caps to water bottles. When he gets one he really grips onto it and won't let go. He is also talking...basics, like ba, ma and da. Don't you think that means baby, mama and dada? We do! Actually, ba is daddy in Vietnamese! As you can see, we have an amazing little boy on our hands. Daddy's Boy has gone to sleep for the night. Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
